Your treatment will always commence with a consultation with one of Omniya Clinic’s medical practitioners. During the consultation, your concerns and details of the treatment will be discussed to assess suitability.
Following the consultation, a numbing cream may be applied to make the treatment for comfortable for you and Profhilo will be administered into the predefined 5 entry points on each side of your face – the Bio Aesthetic Points.
Profhilo® is best considered as a course of treatments. The number of treatments will depend on your skin, which will be assessed during your consultation. Typically, in an interval of 4-6 weeks, you may have 2 treatments. For skin which is more aged, it may be appropriate to double the course of treatments.
Actually, there is only one similarity between Profhilo® and dermal fillers – and that is that they are made up of HA.
Fillers are a relatively thick gel, which is used by practitioners to restore definition and volume to areas such as the lips and cheeks, and are also used to smooth targeted wrinkle areas.
On the other hand, Profhilo® has a thinner consistency, and is administered into the upper layers of the skin – to hydrate and provide a ‘scaffolding’ effect.
