When we lose weight, and as we age, the result can be a loss of volume in the face and may make any lines and wrinkles in our skin appear more visible and deeper. Smile line fillers provided by Omniya Clinic offer fantastic results to those who have a variety of concerns with facial lines and wrinkles on the lower part of their face.
Whether you have deep smile lines that you believe are making your face look older, or, as a result of ageing or weight loss, your face has lost some of its elasticity, this smile line dermal filler treatment could help to lift the mouth, reduce wrinkles, and restore the essence of youth to the skin.
The cost of smile line filler starts from £350 and is performed at Omniya Clinic, in London.
Smile line filler, treatment is one of the most popular treatments provided by our cosmetic clinicians. A series of small injections of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are administered around the nasolabial folds in order to help reduce those first signs of ageing. The injections are made just under the skin during a simple procedure that offers great results with limited downtime.
Smile line fillers commonly treat the following:
The nasolabial fold, or smile lines, are the deep wrinkles or lines that run from either side of your nose downwards towards the corner of your mouth. They are extremely common, and you should feel reassured that most of us have them. The severity of the smile line varies from patient to patient, and whilst some people don’t mind them, for others, they can cause dissatisfaction or distress.
Your smile lines become more noticeable as we age, with fat being lost from the cheeks, skin volume is reduced, and the fold appears deeper. A big smile or repeated smiling may result in deeper creases in the area – which is why these dermal fillers have been coined smile line fillers or laughter line fillers.
varies per patient
As we get older, we may notice areas of our face that we are not quite so happy with. Creases can appear around the mouth where previously the skin was smooth and can be more noticeable than others our age, particularly when genetics and lifestyle factors such as smoking come into play. Even a wide smile can mean that these lines appear more rapidly. Whilst lines and wrinkles are all a natural part of the ageing process, that doesn’t mean that we have to accept them. These dermal fillers offer a solution that can also help to smooth out the wrinkles and return a lifted, hydrated and rejuvenated look to the skin.
Reduce the depth of your smile lines (giving a more contoured look), the shadowing on your lower face that is caused by the deep line pockets, give your skin a more rejuvenated and rehydrated look (helping you to look years younger). Smile line fillers treatments are provided by highly trained aesthetic practitioners. The treatment is not permanent and typically lasts between 6-12 months. There is very little downtime with this type of treatment. Following your initial assessment for nasolabial line fillers in our Knightsbridge based clinic, treatment will take approximately 30 minutes.
Smile line fillers treat a variety of issues, such as; deep smile lines, an uneven smile, facial folds, dehydrated skin, facial shadowing, lump and bumps in the skin.
This entirely depends on the depth of your lines and the results you’re looking for. We find that in some cases, several tiny doses of filler will be all that is needed to refresh the area, while in other cases, you may need a little more. Our practitioners are experts in their field and will be able to explain how much filler they feel would give the best results.
We believe that it is important not to leave patients with unrealistic expectations as to the longevity of the effects of our treatments. Every person metabolises hyaluronic acid differently, and although in rare cases, the effects of your filler could last longer than 12 months, this is not something we see happen often. We prefer to manage your expectations and give you a realistic view of what to expect.
Some side effects could include discomfort at the injection sites, and some light bruising. You may also notice a few lumps in your skin. These are normal after treatment and should settle within days, with bruising only usually lasting up to a week.
While we aim to deliver what we promise, some clients may change their minds once treatment has been administered. We would advise clients to wait until the filler has settled down to assess their results, however. In the extremely unlikely event that you are unhappy after the filler has settled, you are welcome to visit us again for a consultation as to how we can further manage your expectations.
In some cases, you may benefit from having cheek fillers combined with nasolabial line fillers to give result in a more dramatically lifted look. Our experienced consultants would be able to give you more advice on combining treatments to offer the best results.
Nasolabial line fillers are considered a safe non-invasive treatment. With any procedure of this type, there is a small risk of reaction. However, at Omniya all of our aesthetic practitioners are highly trained and have considerable experience when it comes to carrying out the procedure. We’ll also ensure you are suitable for treatment and aware of any risks before we begin treating you.
Our fully trained practitioners carry out a full medical history prior to nasolabial line filler treatment. However, If you have any bleeding disorders, are pregnant, breastfeeding or are allergic to any of the compounds used in fillers, you may not be suitable for treatment. If you are on blood-thinning medication, you should consult with your doctor regarding your options for treatment.
You ought to see optimum results after just a few weeks. Effects should last for an average of 9-12 months with this non-permanent treatment.
