These days there are an increasing number of non-surgical procedures for weight loss. This includes treatments for tightening skin post-weight loss. FaceTite, BodyTite and AccuTite procedures work on loose skin as a result of rapid weight loss/gain or ageing. The first two procedures are self-explanatory in terms of where they are applied. AccuTite though is designed for delicate and smaller areas such as lines around the eyes and mouth, as well as the knees and vagina.
An IV drip is a type of nutritional therapy which is aimed at getting the body to burn off stubborn fat. This is achieved by pumping in vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly via a cannula. This works by rehydrating the body and helping the immune system work more efficiently and faster.
Also, fat-freezing is a non-invasive treatment which works by sucking targeted tissue via a vacuum into an applicator and freezing it to around 10 degrees. Known as Cryolipolysis, it works on areas of pockets of fat which are difficult to tone following weight loss.
Radiofrequency and ultrasound waves are also used as weight loss treatments. These work by breaking down cellulite and other cells by making them more permeable. This, in turn, allows the fat (triglycerides) to dissolve via the immune system over the next few days.
